TELETUBBIES BUY DOME

A BUYER has finally been found for the beleaguered Millennium Dome in Greenwich.

The consortium that put forward the winning bid is made up of popular children's characters Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po. They are expected to make the dome their new home in a few days' time.

The Teletubbies have become millionaires following the worldwide success of their television series, and have opted to leave their astroturf-covered dome in Teletubbyland and move into the more spacious accommodation offered by the South East London attraction (sic).

The foursome have recently been showing off other signs of their wealth. Po has traded up from her squeaky scooter to a brand new Lotus Elise, while Laa-Laa has replaced her bouncy ball with a purchase of Alton Towers.

Dome employees reportedly couldn't believe their eyes as they watched the Teletubbies look round their prospective home.

"I've never seen so many people inside the dome at one time!" said one amazed worker.
